The Helene S. Mills Multipurpose Facility opened on September, 2002, as a focal point in the community to enrich the minds, bodies, and spirits of independent seniors, age 55 and older.
    The facility is named for long-time community advocate, Mrs. Helene S. Mills, who continues to be instrumental in the development of services for Fulton County seniors and their families.
    The 34,000 sq. ft. facility includes:
  • a multipurpose meeting/dining area
  • a catering kitchen and cafeteria serving nutritious breakfasts and lunches Monday through Friday
  • fitness rooms
  • computer lab
  • therapeutic pool
  • Art classrooms
    activity and conference room
The Helene S. Mills facility offers a full range of classes for actives seniors, including:
  • land fitness
  • aquatics
  • life enrichment, including arts, languages, and music
  • computer skills

ABOUT FULTON CO.  NEIGHBORHOOD SENIOR CENTERS
Neighborhood Senior Centers are located throughout the County. These centers provide the semi-independent seniors with safe environments to socialize with other seniors. Activities at these centers include enrichment, nutrition education, fitness, leisure and recreation. The leisure and recreation include group trips to shop and to other places of interest. Transportation is provided to these centers. A hot nutritious lunch is served daily. There are fifteen of these centers throughout the metro Atlanta area. Please call the Fulton County Star line for more information 404-613-6000.
The Helene Mills facility is free to residents of Fulton County ages 55 and over. Non-residents over 55 may participate with an annual assessment of $100.00, payable in two semi-annual $50.00 installments. For more information about membership in the Helene Mills facility, click <here>.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday , 7:00 a.m.—8:00 p.m.

Adult Day Care Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

DIRECTIONS TO THE FACILITYThe Helene S. Mills facility is located on John Wesley Dobbs Avenue.  
By Car: To get to the facility go south one block from the intersection of Freedom Parkway and Boulevard and go east a half block on J.W. Dobbs Avenue.
By Bus: Take #3 from Five Points or the Edgewood
Candler Park Station to the
Mills Facility (alternating trips)
or
Take #99 from the Midtown or Georgia
State Station to Boulevard & John
Wesley (one block from Mills Facility)
